Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic Die Maintenance Process Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager and/or a maintenance Supervisor.
The Maintenance Mechanic Die Maintenance Process Technician is considered an entry level maintenance person with some basic maintenance mechanic skills, capable of operating or being trained to operate the equipment they are responsible for maintaining.
He/she will be capable of reading, and use written documents, manuals, or work instructions while working with senior personnel to complete repairs and maintenance of process equipment and tooling.
The Maintenance Mechanic Die Maintenance Process Technician will be capable of demonstrating proficiencies in each skill needed to perform their duties as required by this position after minimal training.
The Maintenance Mechanic Die Maintenance Process Technician will be responsible for maintaining all process tooling and related equipment through troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
The Maintenance Mechanic Die Maintenance Process Technician will be required to learn new equipment, tooling, and processes added to the production process.
Shift work and overtime at times will be required.
Primary Responsibilities
Carry out preventive maintenance programs for all tooling within the facility.
Will work with the maintenance materials inventory personnel to maintain acceptable stock levels of spare parts.
Will perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections as well as minor equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
Will be responsible for learning new skills, processes, and procedures as needed to maintain the tooling, and equipment.
Will be responsible for minor machine adjustments, blade, punch and pin, and tooling cleaning and replacements.
Will work with maintenance manager, supervisors, schedulers, and others to meet production needs.
Will perform other maintenance duties as required.
Qualifications
Must maintain a flexible schedule.
Willing and able to work any shift.
Must have basic reading and math skills
Must have mechanical experience or technical education
Must have ability to properly use the tools of various crafts as required to perform general factory maintenance work
May be required to work in the presence of pyrotechnic compositions when performing routine maintenance duties.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions; must be able to work without close supervision
Must have good dexterity and non-restricted vision
Must have valid driver’s license
Education/Previous Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Work Hours
Normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday – 4 ten-hour days
