Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.
Trouble shoot and repair all equipment at the plant as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance procedures as needed.
Operate a fork lift.
Operate scissor lift.
Trouble shoot, repair and/or replace pumps and piping systems.
Trouble shoot and repair and/or modify electrical wiring and controls circuits.
Trouble shoot, repair and/or replace electrical motors, gearboxes, drive systems, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems.
Provide technical assistance to the process lab/pilot plant as required.
Identify training opportunities and recommend training department wide.
Plan and coordinate Maintenance Training.

Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities are required.

Education and/or Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a plant Maintenance Tech.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with peers, co-workers, scientists, researchers, supervisors, customers and vendors as required.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical materials.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, managers, and co-workers.
Ability to follow instructions and respond to management direction.
Identifies unsafe work conditions in the work area.

Reports safety hazards to supervisor or safety coordinator.
