This position is part of Cepheid Diagnostics and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Proactively address problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniques.

• Document all repairs and the appropriate adjustments made in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

• Assess the equipment’s performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgrades.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4-6 years of related work experience OR an AA or Technical Trade Degree with 2-4 years of related work experience.

• Familiarity with electrical/electronic components, Automation, Robotics, Sensors, Fiber Optics and motors.

• Previous work experience in a Manufacturing environment; ability to repair equipment timely under pressure situations.

Preferred requirements of the job include:

• PLC knowledge and experience.
