Job Description: Scope of the PositionThe Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Department in all activities and for the mechanical integrity program.
They will support and participate in the Responsible Care Program to ensure safe working conditions.
Responsible for ensuring the site follows the Management of Change (MOC) process for all changes made to equipment, procedures and personnel.
Become knowledgeable of the operation of the plant for the purpose of becoming an On-Call Supervisor for nights, weekends and holiday coverageRelocation assistance available.What You Need To Be SuccessfulBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.Three to five years of manufacturing experience preferably in a chemical or petro-chemical environmentExperience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, etc.) is a plusMust be a team player, able to direct and lead others.
Must be self-motivated with excellent communication and problem solving skills.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, execute, and monitor capital appropriation requests and projects 45%Provide support to maintenance supervisor and employees including vacation relief, technical assistance, equipment troubleshooting, and maintenance initiated projects.
15%Support the development and adherence to corporate pipe specifications.10%Develop and execute predictive preventative maintenance programs.
5%Failure analysis of plant equipment.
5%Develop inspection criteria for PSM and other equipment.
5%Support and monitor mechanical integrity activities for PSM compliance.
