Description: Job Title: Field Technician BJob Location: Rochester NYJob ID: CS2020608-67007Job Description:The Field Technician B is responsible for support in the areas of trouble-shooting, document, and repair of L3Harris SATCOM communications equipment.Diagnose, document and detail technical faults and the repair process in database.Configuration and repair of customer/government SATCOM equipment.Component and system level testing to validate performance of design.Utilize mechanical drawings, process details, block diagrams and electrical schematics to diagnose, repair, and test SATCOM equipment.Knowledge of test equipment such as digital volt meters, power meters, and spectrum analyzers to support trouble shooting is required.Estimate parts and labor hours needed to perform all repairs.Develop continuous improvement ideas to support goals.Occasionally team lift up to 70-100 lbs.Basic Qualifications: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.Preferred Qualifications:SATCOM theory, IP networking: VLANs, DHCP, DNS, etc.

iDirect Modems highly desiredExperienced in the use of database management, mechanical design of wireless communication equipment, and complex communication systemsFamiliar with documenting problems in service database.Customer focusedProcess and detail orientedExperience reading schematics and engineering documentationAbility to obtain security clearance is required; active Secret clearancehighly desired#LI-PM
