IT technician

Biscuits Leclerc Ltée

This is a Contract position in Brockville, ON posted February 21, 2022.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the IT Services Manager, the IT Technician is responsible for supporting the facility’s IT infrastructure and users to ensure installation and configuration of hardware, based on the Biscuits Leclerc’s strategy and requirements. This is done in close collaboration with the head office IT team in a genuine partnership to achieve a successful startup of the new facility. Furthermore, the IT Technician will take on the challenge of supporting the startup of the newest Leclerc operations with the goal of meeting the project’s deliverables, bringing the plant to fully contribute to the company’s strategy, relying on a robust IT infrastructure and enabled employees. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Handle IT support requests and projects according to their priority;
  • Work in collaboration with internal teams and various partners;
  • Participate in weekly meetings;
  • Participate actively in the company’s projects;
  • Ensure the installation, security and maintenance of computer and industrial equipment (servers, routers, firewalls, switches, cabling, computers, tablets, printers, scanners, barcode printers, etc.);
  • Support the various services in place (broadcast screens, conference rooms, pay kiosks, etc.);
  • Manage mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets;
  • Maintain and order devices in sufficient quantity;
  • Install, receive, ship and move equipment as needed;
  • Schedule preventive maintenance of certain equipment;
  • Maintain computer storage facilities in a suitable condition;
  • Maintain technical documentation of equipment and software;
  • Manage user accounts (AD, Exchange, Windows);
  • Run computer cable, install RJ-45 connectors and plates;
  • Support, configure and install local network and server infrastructure;
  • Be available for interventions on the different sites.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • Technical diploma in computer support;
  • Have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar position;
  • Have already worked with a ticket tracking system;
  • Experience in the manufacturing field desirable;
  • Must have worked in a decentralized environment (multiple sites);
  • Demonstrated experience managing Windows, Active Directory and SCCM environments;
  • Demonstrated experience managing Cisco network devices and FortiGate firewall devices;
  • Extensive knowledge of Office 365;
  • Demonstrated ability to configure and diagnose workstations, servers and network devices ;
  • Knowledge of telephony (Cisco) and Apple iPad / iPhone products desirable;
  • Demonstrated interest in customer service and teamwork;
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly;
  • Willingness and dynamism to be actively involved in the improvement of IT;
  • Good learning skills;
  • Certifications such as A+, Network+, MCSA, MCSE, CCNENT or  CCNA are an asset
