Histotechnologist or Histology Technician – Evenings

$5000 sign-on bonus is availableRequirements:
– Must work a 40 hour/week full-time schedule
– Must work a specified shift if applicable (days, evenings, or nights; weekend rotation if required)
– 24-month commitment with pro-rated repayment for early terminationThe salary range shown below reflects that of a Histotechnologist.The salary range for a Histology Technician is $22.39
– $35.82Responsible for performing histological procedures to aid in diagnosis, research and instruction.Prepares tissue samples for routine microscopic analysis.Maintains and operates laboratory equipment according to manufacturer recommendations and procedures.Demonstrates knowledge of quality, safety, and compliance programs.Investigates, documents, communicates and resolves needs, problems or complaints.Performs area-specific support/clinical activities.In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.Position Compensation Range: $25.21
– $40.34 HourlyMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Clinical education in a Histology Technician School (HT) program accredited by NAACLS or 1 year experience.Experience:1 year experience in a Histology Laboratory.Licensure: HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) or eligible.

Certification within 18 months of hire.PHYSICAL DEMANDSJob requires sitting, standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking, bending/stooping; Repetitive motion: (embedding, microtomy, cover slipping).

Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20
– 50lbs.

May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, noise, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.The salary range reflected in this job posting is for a Histology Technician.
