Help Desk Technician

Analysts is looking for some sharp candidates for an IT Help Desk Technician role with our direct client in Tampa, FL. This is a 5 month contract with excellent potential for long term extension.

The IT Help Desk Technician will be responsible for accurate setup and efficient operation of basic IT equipment including but not limited to laptops, desktops, printers, and peripherals while ensuring the utmost in client satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for answering phones and maintaining ticket queue from internal users only
• Complete systems entry and associated paperwork accurately
• Assist IT department with proper maintenance and operation of various equipment
• Participate in physical inventory count processes as needed
• Responsible for onboarding and disabling of employees
• First line of contact for IT support

Skills and Abilities

• Technical knowledge of hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, network administration and outsourced systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in various business productivity systems
• Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues
• Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Formal education in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in information technology preferably in the Audio Visual or Construction Industry
• Intermediate PC and networking skills required (Mac experience is a plus)
• Requires an A+ Certification within 90 days of hire
• Microsoft Certifications a plus
