Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Mechanic

Do you have experience working with heavy duty diesel trucks?We are seeking someone with a basic knowledge of and experience assisting skilled trades people in the teardown and maintenance of heavy duty diesel trucks. This position also requires that the employee perform wrecking duties, pulling parts, and a range of maintenance, repair and service activities on heavy duty trucks in a developing capacity, with minimal technical assistance from experienced-level mechanics.The ideal candidate will possess:- Knowledge of body and frame construction of heavy duty trucks.- Knowledge of heavy duty truck parts and terminology.- Skill in the use of a variety of hand tools.- Skill in the use of mechanized tools, jacks, and hoists.- Knowledge of safety issues in the use of tools and equipment used in repair.- Ability to communicate with other mechanics about repair work needed.- Ability to show up to work prepared, on time, and with a cooperative attitude.We operate a drug free and safe working environment, and require that the candidate have a valid driver’s license, pass a drug test, and prove they are legally permitted to work in the U.S.Pay range is $18-$25 per hour and will depend upon experience. Reliable transportation is a must, and a non-smoking work environment must be respected and maintained.Schedule will be Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours).
