GSE Mechanic

Job Title: GSE Mechanic Department: Ground Support Equipment Location: SEATAC Int?l Airport Duration: 6-month Contract to Hire (long-term) Pay:$25 ? 30/hour based on experience Shifts: Multiple available, day, swing, night (5 days/week, 40+ hours) Job Description This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery and other related airport ground handling equipment, including: Pushback tractors, aircraft loaders, pickup trucks, mobile conveyers, etc.
Long-term position at SEATAC Airport, supporting a growing E-Commerce operation
? Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment using strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines
? Troubleshoot, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
? Read basic electrical schematics
? Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, transmissions, drivetrain systems
? Use computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems Shifts: 6am ? 2:30PM
8am ? 4:30 PM
2PM ? 10:30PM Requirements: Diesel and/or gas engine repair experience
? 3+ years of recent heavy equipment, diesel vehicle, marine, or related equipment repair experience
? Valid driver’s license
? Must be able to obtain Airport SIDA badge (requires specific documentation)
? Must have own tools
? Previous GSE/Aviation experience preferred
