GIS Technician

Manpower Engineering and I am looking for several Engineering Technicians with some GIS/Geography/Geoscience education/knowledge for our client in the midtown Atlanta metro area. These are 6-mo, contract-to-perm roles.

Summary of what you’d be doing:

• Primary responsibilities will be to analyze utilities structures and create work orders from analysis results.

Here’s a summary of who we’re seeking:

• Technology AS/BS preferred (GIS, Geography, Geoscience preferred) – no degree OK if have some data analytical experience.
• New grads are a good fit – Will train
• GIS Utility location experience a plus
• Should show initiative, desire to learn, good math skills, Excel skills, able to work with internal software program – perform analysis
• Understanding of basic engineering concepts, such as strength of materials, loads on structures and member forces, and reactions is a plus
