Final Assembly Technician

This is a Full-time position in Dearborn Heights, MI posted December 9, 2021.

Job Summary:
A Final Assembly Technician will work as part of the manufacturing team in the construction, maintenance, and repairs for cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles.

Candidates need to have their own tools.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Helps mechanic perform maintenance and repairs such as tune-ups and oil change, checks tires and brakes, replaces spark plugs and engages in other similar tasks.
Assists mechanic with electrical systems such as replacing batteries, starters, and lights.
Builds project accurately and within time and material specifications.
Uses saws, power tools, sanders, hand tools, screws, and other tools and fasteners to complete the project.
Cuts, shapes, and prepares material to constructs complete project.
Finishes surfaces according to project specifications
Cleans the shop and returns tools to proper location.
Inspects tools and equipment to ensure they are in working order.
Update maintenance and repair logs for vehicles.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of vehicle repair.
Good mechanical skills.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to use power and hand tools.
Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read service and repair manuals.
Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion.
Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions.
Ability to work in a variety of roles.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.
Visual acuity necessary to measure and assemble furniture and to read plan
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
