– Field Technician I

No experience necessary or expected in this field.
All training will be provided.
We are a local Southern Oregon company that provides independent third-party environmental testing and audit services to a diverse range of industrial clients.
Typical industries served include Energy, Pulp & Paper, Manufacturing, and Wood Products.
This individual will primarily focus on assisting Project Managers and other Field Technicians in all aspects of testing projects.
They will be required to work at elevated heights, in outdoor conditions (heat and cold).
Travel is required, our client base is primarily in the Pacific Northwest.
Responsibilities:
Assist in preparation for jobs under the guidance of the supervisor.
Operate sampling equipment under the guidance of the supervisor and after training.
Follow prescribed safety methods and procedures.
Ensure the company policies, standards, and procedures are adhered to.
Must be able to exert moderate physical effort, including lifting materials up to 55 pounds, and comfortable with heights.
Use of stairs/ladders, Man-lifts and Scissor-lifts (training on all equipment will be provided).
Must be able to travel during weekdays 1-5 days in duration (all expenses paid, taking company vehicle); Travel is not everyday or week, just when a job is scheduled.
Otherwise, work is performed at the shop.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED
Valid Driver’s License
Drug Free
Ability to work independently
Compensation:
15-25/hr DOE, overtime is a regular occurrence and often required.
