Description:
This role is focused on conducting general repairs on equipment and maintaining the facility. This role also helps with troubleshooting mechanical failures, serving as the mechanical resource for plant operations/production, and addressing mechanical repairs/corrective actions in a timely manner. • Performs regularly scheduled maintenance and general repairs of plant utilities and equipment, but not limited to, the following: o Air, water, steam, electrical lines o Pumps, motors, fans, filters, agitators, and lift trucks • Keeps all plant equipment lubricated properly • Assists in properly maintaining boilers and compressors • Assists in plumbing, wiring, welding, etc. • Operate and maintain all maintenance hand tools and equipment, such as drill presses, saws, welders, pipe threaders, etc. • Assist with snow removal, waste/trash remediation, errands, etc.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED). • 1+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but un-involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to l00 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
