New Journey AI/Genesis10 is actively seeking a Facilities Technician resource for a Contract to Hire position.
Work closely with test and design engineering to build test rigs for structural component testing. Help establish test procedures and, once established, run tests according to test procedures. Also fabricate test articles and coupons for material level testing.
Required Skills:
2-5 years of experience in Test Facility or Structural Testing instruments
Set up of Electronic or Hydraulic Actuators
Experience building Wiring Harnesses and Cabling
Metal or Composites fabrication/assembly
Responsibilities:
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment
• Build and commission structural test equipment
o Build, assemble, and modify structural test stands as needed
o Install test articles in test stands
o Build and solder test cables
• Build and instrument material coupons and test articles
o Fabricate metallic and composite test coupons
o Locate and bond strain gauges and other instruments on test articles
• Maintain test lab and equipment
o Maintain a tidy and organized lab environment
o Work with calibration team to ensure currency of calibrated equipment
o Submit purchasing requests for any needed materials or tools
• Operate test equipment and execute test procedures
o Execute established test structural procedures and operate test equipment, (actuators, load cells, test frames, etc.)
o Review and approve test procedures prior to release
o Document and compile test data and communicate any anomalies
