Experienced Alarm, Access Control, CCTV Technician

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience required in both hardware installation and programming of Commercial Access Control, Intrusion Alarm Systems, and IP Camera Systems
• Service troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
• Use of Microsoft applications
• Understanding of low voltage electrical circuits
• Understanding of relay logic
• Professionalism
• Valid Illinois driver’s license
• Qualify for an PERC card from the State of Illinois
• Must be pass a drug screening test
• Physically able to climb, crawl, lift heavy objects up to 75 pounds, and work in small spaces
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience in new construction low voltage installation
• Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner

Responsibilities & Expectations

• Field installation/programming of intrusion alarm systems, CCTV, and access control security systems.
• Installation of conduit and electrical wiring which can include drilling, trenching and aerial runs.
• Complete installation of cabling, connections/terminations, and equipment installations ensuring that security systems are complete and satisfy both customer and contractual requirements.
• Certify new system installations to ensure proper function and to ensure system meets local, county, state, federal codes, and manufacturer specifications.
• Proper documentation of installation issues/actions/resolutions both internally and externally (acceptance forms, service tickets, etc.)
• Promote, build, and maintain good customer relations.
• Participation in rotating On-Call schedule
