The position supervises the day-to-day operations of the work unit,including journey-level, semi-skilled, and entry-level trades staff and subcontractors responsible for themaintenance of electrical and HVAC systems on the Olympia and Tacoma campuses.
The incumbent is a fullyqualified electrician with a current state of Washington EL01 license.
The incumbent performs skilledinstallation, maintenance, and repair work on low voltage electrical equipment and systems of 750 volts toinclude medium voltage switching operations.
The position monitors and assists with managing operating andcapital project budgets in coordination with the Facilities Services Manager.
The incumbent workscollaboratively with capital project managers to coordinate scheduling, in-house labor, materials and acquisition,and technical requirements.
The position works with the Associate Vice President for Facilities, the FacilitiesService Manager, and other campus partners in developing plans and responding to facilities and weather-related emergencies.
As a member of the Facilities Services leadership team, this person assists in thedevelopment and implementation of facilities renewal and revitalization programs.This is a full-time, overtime-eligible position on the Olympia and Tacoma campuses of The Evergreen StateCollege.Salary and Benefits: $5,024 – $5,830 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick andvacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and atuition waiver program.Closes: February 23, 2021All requested application materials must be submitted by the deadline in order to be considered.About the CollegeThe Evergreen State College is a progressive, public liberal arts and sciences college located in Olympia,Washington, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
