The Role
The Engineering Technician will work closely with Engineers and manufacturing to support product development and transfer of products to manufacturing.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has an Engineering mind but may not have a four year degree.
This role has room for significant growth and development within the organization.
Principal Responsibilities
Primary engineering task resource in transferring new products to manufacturing and sustaining transferred products.
Read, follow, critique, and edit procedural instructions and data collection activity.
Assemble fragile and sensitive electro-mechanical and optical medical devices.
Conduct experiments and record data in a laboratory environment.
Collaborate directly with engineers, production operators, Quality Assurance, and management personnel.
Develops and documents assembly, test, and alignment methods.
Collect data and perform analysis.
Prepare drawings, documentation, and visual aids.
Communicate technical issues clearly and effectively.
Trains production staff on assembly methods/procedures.
Follow and enforce Good Practice (GxP) norms and standards in the workplace.
Requirements
2+ year experience in a manufacturing, development, or engineering environment.
ISO 13485, Medical Device, or other regulated environment experience preferred.
Experience with optics, electronics and/or other small, delicate, or sensitive products is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical and general software aptitude.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software.
Able to efficiently work independently when given clear instructions.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Engaged and positive attitude with a strong accountability ethic.
Eager to learn and grow with the company.
