Engineering and Maintenance Technician III (3rd Shift)

PurposeTo provide high level maintenance and repair services to automated and semi-automated production systems in a just in time (JIT) pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.Essential Functions* Provides direct support of manufacturing in all aspects of equipment operation, maintenance, change control and validation.* Performs routine preventative maintenance on production equipment.* Performs emergency equipment repairs.* Troubleshoots at an advanced level for problems associated with equipment performance, maintenance and calibration.* Utilizes own technical knowledge and/or coordinates the proper resources to resolve manufacturing process problems.* Fabricates and modifies mechanical or electrical components in support of maintenance activities.* Proactively monitors system performance through work execution with focus on Identifying opportunities for improvement in reliability, repeatability and efficiency. Effectively communicates and applies improvements with full compliance to OSHA, cGMP, FDA and NRC regulations utilizing standard practices/ procedures for documenting changes and testing.* Manages personal work records through the use of a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system), including accurate work performance logs, material usage, and labor hours.* Authors, reviews, and edits Preventative Maintenance Plans, Change Controls, Test Plans, Protocols, and SOPs.* Provides support in scheduling and execution of capital projects. Directly manages small scale internal projects through design, testing, implementation and close-out.* Participates in and or leads in route-cause analysis investigations as a subject matter expert. Effectively communicates findings to appropriate levels of the organization.* Organizes and leads volunteers or maintenance teams during performance of repairs or maintenance-related activities.* Serves as a mentor to other group members ensuring continuous skill development.* Supports daily work assignment process including routine and PM work scheduling.* Effectively communicates and applies improvements with full compliance to OSHA, cGMP, FDA and NRC regulations utilizing standard practices/ procedures for documenting changes and testing.* Actively applies and promotes safety rules and awareness. Demonstrates good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Reports and takes initiative to correct safety and environmental hazards.* Actively demonstrates the Lantheus values of accountability, quality, efficiency, customer service, collaboration and safety.Minimum Skills, Experience, and Education* Associates Degree in a technical field such as electronics or mechanical systems. Equivalent training or experience will be considered.* 6 years of production maintenance experienceOther Requirements* Ability to work in challenging environments including confined spaces, radiological areas, and elevated heights and in varying weather and temperature conditions.* Ability to plan, implement & execute activities to achieve personal and team performance objectives* Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite to effectively develop and communicate work-related reports.* Ability to read, modify, and create electrical schematics and mechanical drawings using industry-standard software applications.* Prior experience using a CMMS system as a work tracking and maintenance documentation system.* Previous experience with PLC’s, HMI’s and Control Systems with the ability to apply as a troubleshooting/diagnostics tool. Prior experience with systems such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon and Wonderware a plus.* Working knowledge of GMP’s, OSHA, and industry safety policies. Knowledge of radiation safety techniques a plus* License to operate boilers (engineer or fireman), perform hoisting, or operate wastewater treatment systems a plus* Ability to work independently and in teams* Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of group dynamics
