Eeg Technician – Night Shift – $1500 Hiring Incentive Offered

Overview:
the EEG Technologists is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and analyzing data for long term EEG monitoring of patients with seizures.

this position is for night shift
– $3.00/hr shift differential

**$1500 hiring incentive available
Responsibilities:
Completes EEG studies including but not limited; to equipment set-up for long term monitoring/cEEG recordings and application of scalp electrodes utilizing Internal 10-20 (or 10-10) System Electrode Placement using collodion or paste adhesives; completes activating procedures such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation as appropriate; eliminates and/or properly monitors physiological and non-physiological artifacts; reviews, evaluations, maps, and classifies impressions of ictal, Interictal, and paroxysmal events from EEG/Video data; edits and archives EEG/Video data; and documents, maps, and annotates events occurring during daily scanning; and maintains the clinical database and archiving including appropriate records of all studies and file locations.
Assist physicians in real time with any technical aspects that may interfere with EEG interpretation/report generation.

Works with Facilities to keep the technical environment appropriate for medical care and technical recordings.

Collaborates with Nursing, Child Life, Behavioral Psychology as well as the inpatient medical team to develop, implement and monitor medical procedures for EMU patients and for clinical neurophysiology outpatients.

Communicates with inpatient team regarding non-LTM EEGs and PSGs for inpatients.
Writes preliminary report and detailed description of EEG patterns, seizure semiology, radiologic findings, mapping of abnormalities and selection of representative EEG
Maintains laboratory inventory
Educates the patient and family regarding their EMU/LTM monitoring procedure interacting according to patient’s level of understanding.
Performs outpatient studies, as needed.
Serve as contact for lab/EMP physicians regarding technical aspects.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:

Registered Electroencephalograph Technologist (R.EEG.T)
Certification in LTM preferred
Minimum 3 Years of LTM experience
EDUCATION:

Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Neurodiagnostic Program, or an Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years of LTM experience.
