Your main goal is to ensure our fleet of transporters are always available. As part of this role, you will be ensuring preventative maintenance and general repairs are completed in a timely manner and up to Carvana standards. The qualifying candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic, goal-oriented, energetic, they must enjoy helping people, and must have the ability to interact/ communicate with all levels of the organization.Diesel Tech Level 1 – $18-$24 / hrRequirements6 Months – 1 Year In Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry Or Experience In Similar IndustryMust Have Their Own Hand Tools To Complete Daily Task (Specialty Tools Will Be Provided)Must Have No More Than Two Moving Violations In The Last Three Years Or DUIGeneral And Preventative Maintenance; Including Brake And Tire RepairLight Diagnostics, Troubleshooting And Electrical WorkReceive And Review Daily Inspections Of All Heavy Equipment Used And Resolve Issues Or Scheduled RepairsComplete Preventative Maintenance For Equipment; Inspect All Equipment And Detect Excessive WearMust Be Flexible With Shift And Training SchedulesHiring Is Contingent On Passing A Complete Background Check And Drug ScreeningDiesel Tech Level II – $24-$30 / hrRequirements1+ year in Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry or experience in similar industryOne ASE Certification within the first 6 months of employmentHiring is contingent on passing a complete background check and drug screeningGeneral and preventative maintenance; including diagnostic testing, routine maintenance and determine a course of action for damaged parts and systems.Resolve issues from inspections or scheduled repairs to include changing brakes, adjust steering systems, replace worn-out parts and change hydraulic components.Complete preventative maintenance for equipment and inspect equipment to detect excessive wearResponsible for parts inventory and equipment provided to complete the duties outlined for positionMaintain accurate records of each repair performed on assets using Maintenance SoftwareDiesel Tech Level III – $30 – $35 / hrRequirements5+ years in Heavy Duty Mechanical Industry2 ASE Certifications with in the first 6 months of employmentMust have their own hand tools to complete daily task (Specialty tools will be provided)Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check and drug screeningPerform routine and preventative maintenance such as Lube Oil & Filter (LOF), DOT Inspections, Testing batteries, and lubricating equipment.Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioningService vehicles to maintain functionality.Resolve issues from inspections or scheduled repairs to include electrical systems repairs, brake systems repairs, transmission repairs, hydraulic components & replace worn-out partsDiagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices and then repairDiagnose and repair vehicle heating and cooling systemsWeld or fabricate broken parts and structural members using welders, torches & plasma cuttersForeman – $35 – $40/ hrRequirements5+ years in Heavy Duty Mechanical IndustryTwo ASE Certifications with in the first 6 months of employmentMust have their own hand tools to complete daily task (Specialty tools will be provided)Must have no more than two moving violations in the last three years or DUIResolve issues from inspections or scheduled repairs to include electrical systems repairs, brake systems repairs, transmission repairs, hydraulic components & replace worn-out partsDiagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices and then repairDiagnose and repair vehicle heating and cooling systemsWeld or fabricate broken parts and structural members using welders, torches & plasma cuttersHiring is contingent on passing a complete background check and drug screeningThe Foreman/Master Mechanic will report to the Maintenance Manager, Logistics and will be an hourly full-time position.
