The OpportunityDelaware NorthGaming is hiring a Plumber to join our team atSouthland Casinoin West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Plumber, you willinspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain plumbing fixtures in heating, water, and drainage systems to ensure all facilities plumbing systems and kennel plumbing systems are properly maintained and operational.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair all plumbing issues that arise.Operate drain cleaning equipment to include chemical cleaners, mechanical snakes, and pipe jetters.Install water lines, vents, drains, hot water heaters, sinks, toilets, urinals, and other plumbing-related fixtures to include but not limited to all types of pipes, valves, vents, pipe fittings, etc.Complete plumbing work orders in a manner to expedite their efficient completion.Perform basic repairs to plumbing equipment to include, but not limited to faucets, flushometers, dishwashers, ice machines, soda machines, and other restaurant-type kitchen equipment.Maintain a safe work and guest environment.Check and clean grease traps and water drains.Assemble, disassemble, and repairs plumbing fixtures and equipmentUnderstand building codes and regulations as they apply to the plumbing trade.Read and understand blueprints and the symbols used.Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and completes other duties as assigned which may also be classified as a general labor function.QualificationsA high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 8,000 hours of plumbing experience.West Virginia Plumbing License.Maintain a current motor vehicle license.Maintain a current operators certificate for a Man-Lift, Powered Industrial Truck Training.Must be able to obtain and maintain a West Virginia Greyhound Racing License.Maintain a West Virginia ” Plumber in Training” license.Must have general knowledge of the use of simple equipment used in building trades.Intermediate math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and calculating square footage and other figurations.Ability to read simple instructions and follow simple diagrams.Ability to perform simple tasks independently after being given specific instructions.Ability to travel locally when necessary.Physical RequirementsManual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools required by the trade.Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs and use ladders, platforms, scaffolds, and perform various types of manual labor.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Visual acuity sufficient for reading, performing repairs of trade.Exposure to outdoor weather conditions in all seasons, including variable extreme temperatures and wet and/or humid conditions.Occasionally exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals and dirt and dust.Occasionally exposed to noise levels that may be moderate to high.The work environment will expose you to secondhand smoke.Able to work in and wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.May be exposed to dog dander.Who We AreSouthland Casino Racing, owned and operated by Delaware North, features more than 1,500 slot machines, live blackjack, craps and roulette tables, live greyhound racing and simulcast wagering.
