Job Description:

Position Description:

Perform duties required to support the CO Parts Value Stream – w orking closely with Engineering, Marketing, Vendors and Supply Chain Professionals regarding the design and development of automatic machinery replacement parts for sale to our customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide support to Inside Sales (worldwide), Quote Response Team, and Rapid Response Team.
  • Perform research and development of service parts in collaboration with Engineering team.
  • Analyze returned parts from customers.
  • Develop detailed information to support development of marketing tools to promote the sale of parts.
  • Work with the Rapid Response and Quote Response Team to develop systems/processes to increase on-time ship performance.
  • Develop systems/processes to improve quality and reduce warranty in collaboration with internal and external suppliers.
  • Develop a short- and long-term parts strategy that is in line with the company’s vision. Continually expand his/her expertise on all product lines through contact with customers on all levels, vendors, partners, industry experts, and company personnel.
  • Obtain and analyze competitive market information.

Job Specifications:

  • Familiarity with mechanical/electrical aspects of BWP equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, PCs, software development tools, hydraulics, pneumatics, electric motors, and drives.
  • Mechanical design experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with and ability to use Excel, InforXA, Solidworks, and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with keyboard and PC tools required.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and initiative.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree or equivalent technical experience plus 5-10yrs experience on BW Papersystems (Marquip) equipment.

Supervisory/Responsibility:

Role reports to CO Parts Value Stream Team Manager; this position does not directly supervise other employees but may guide or coach a cross-functional project team of employees

Work Environment:

This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. Although the employee may spend a portion of his/her time in the office area, the employee’s essential job duties also require the employee to spend a significant portion of his/her time in the manufacturing area. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.

Physical Demands:

This role requires the constant use of standard office equipment; visual and mental focus; light lifting may be required in order to inspect goods; some travel is expected.

Position Type:

This is a regular, full-time position with the understanding that a regular work week will require overtime and after-hours support as needed to meet customer and business needs.
