CNC Maintenance TechnicianGeneral Description of Job: The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for effectively troubleshooting mechanical and electrical failures on CNC equipment.
Must be able to read schematics and parts drawings, perform routine preventive maintenance on machines and facilities, and be proficient with the use of a multi meter.
Utilize downtime reports to evaluate and prioritize workload according to production needs.
Completes task in a timely manner.
This person works directly with the Operations Manager, and is also responsible for performing on-going audits relating to equipment and safety.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the maintenance, repair and setup of robotics, CNC machines, and other control driven equipmentRepair, program, and troubleshoot control systems on plant equipmentCalibrate, repair, program and troubleshoot robotic systems (Fanuc )Calibrate, repair, program and troubleshoot vision systems (Fanuc, )Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance to get machines up and running to capacityCommunicate with supervisors and managers to inform of situations that may impact productionContact and interact with contractors for maintenance issues requiring outside expertiseCompile records of equipment and machinery information to use as maintenance resourcesAssist in maintaining an inventory of spare parts for all machines to minimize downtimePreventive and predictive maintenance on the facilities CNC and production machinery when necessary.
