Classroom Technician/Peripheral Operator with Security Clearance

Position Overview:
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an individual that will ensure all assigned classrooms are maintained daily in a fully functional state and operating as designed to perform Government training. Maintain assigned classroom computers and peripherals. Maintain Common Operational Picture (COP) of all assigned Classrooms. Perform computer and audiovisual (AV) help desk type duties. Maintain computers and peripherals in compliance with US Army, TRADOC, and industry standards. Ensure the classrooms are ready for use daily. Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Classroom Technician Support. Prepare and submit work orders to the Classroom Program’s Help Desk as needed for higher level maintenance assistance.
Support management and scheduling of classrooms, including video tele-training (VTT)/remote teaching requests, in compliance with assigned standards. Train and assist the instructor/classroom instructor on the use of assigned audiovisual (AV) and VTT equipment and student workstations as needed.
Perform scheduled systems/operational checks and preventive maintenance/tests for all classroom in inventory.
Develop and utilize a standardized Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) checklist (or similar record-keeping method) for equipment and classrooms.
Perform daily on-site operational and sustainment support for installed classroom audiovisual equipment (hardware, software, ancillary, and associated items) to include networking and video teleconferencing (VTC) for classroom.
Maintain and change projector filters and projector lamps as required.
Maintain inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and repair parts to support daily troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance for installed classrooms.
Coordinate as required with upper levels of technical support points of contact (POCs) to resolve troubleshooting issues and return classrooms to fully functional status.
Support shipping and receiving of classroom equipment and/or parts. Maintain log/property books as required. Job Qualifications:
Must be able to gain access to a U.S. Military Installation
Must have an Active DoD SECRET security clearance CompTIA A+ or similar certification
