Job Description:

Traveling Phlebotomist for a great Laboratory in Spanish Fort. We provide a 2021 Jetta with company credit card to service senior living facilities from Pensacola to Mobile. GCM provides competitive pay along with 2 weeks PTO, paid holidays, BCBS insurance and gap insurance for medical deductibles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups, but primarily nursing home patients and home health patients
• Collect specimens for Molecular Pathogen Testing
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Provide professional and reliable customer service to all patients
• Process billing information including verification of benefits and payments collections
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs per laboratory SOPs
• Administrative and clerical duties, when needed
• Travel to additional sites, as necessary

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a phlebotomist
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is a MUST
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Clean driving record
• Flexibility to work overtime, as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test and applicable background checks

Typical Shift Timings: Monday – Friday, Some Sunday collections possible, subject to change upon company’s discretion.
