Cepheid: Maintenance Technician

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Work closely with Production and Engineering groups to monitor equipment status and performanceProactively address problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniquesDocument all repairs and the appropriate adjustments made in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Assess the equipments performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgradesAbility to train equipment technicians and operatorsWrite maintenance procedures and reportsPerform equipment Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on timeESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4-6 years of related work experience.

AA or Technical Trade Degree with 2-4 years of related work experienceFamiliarity with electrical/electronic components, Automation, Robotics, Sensors, Fiber Optics and motorsPrevious work experience in a Manufacturing environment; abilityto repair equipment timelyunder pressure situations Physical requirements/abilities:Must be able to lift 25 lbsMust be able to stand for several hours PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Ultrasonic welding experience is a plusGMP experience a plusPLC knowledge and experience is a plus When you join us, youll also be joining Danahers global organization, where 69,000 people wake up every day determined to help our customers win.
