POSITION SUMMARY:Equipment technician in the Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Department to troubleshoot, repair and sustain custom automation equipment.
Perform hands-on preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure maximum production output.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Work closely with Production and Engineering groups to monitor equipment status and performanceProactively address problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniquesDocument all repairs and the appropriate adjustments made in Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Assess the equipments performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgradesAbility to train equipment technicians and operatorsWrite maintenance procedures and reportsPerform equipment Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education and Experience (in years):High School degree (or equivalent experience) with 4-6 years of related work experienceAA or Technical Trade Degree with 2-4 years of related work experience Knowledge and skills:Must have excellent communication skillsHave basic knowledge working with MS OfficeMust have solid understanding of interpreting manuals and schematics and have strong knowledge in mechanical alignment and the troubleshooting of automated mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipmentMust have experience working with pneumatics actuators and cylindersFamiliarity with electrical/electronic components, Automation, Robotics, Sensors, Fiber Optics and motorsBasic usage of hand tools and the abilityto use multimeters to trouble shoot equipment problemsPrevious work experience in a Manufacturing environment; abilityto repair equipment timelyunder pressure situations Physical requirements/abilities:Must be able to lift 25 lbsMust be able to stand for several hours When you join us, youll also be joining Danahers global organization, where 69,000 people wake up every day determined to help our customers win.
