Keep reading below to see what were looking for!About the team and positionAs an Automotive Quality Technician you will have the opportunity to drive the customer experience through working at one of our Inspection Centers that help recondition the vehicles we sell to our customers.

You will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles have been properly reconditioned and meet Carvana vehicle quality standards, performing light maintenance or repairs as needed.What youll be doingThe qualifying candidate must love helping people and possess the drive to achieve superior customer satisfaction.

They must be goal-oriented, enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, with the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the organization.Perform technician services such as routine inspections/maintenance (other than timing belts)Complete lube, oil, filter, and fluid flushes/exchangesPerform basic repair for brake pads/calipers, tires, tire installations, and wheel alignmentsComplete light diagnostic work for vehicle preventative maintenanceFollow Post Production standardized work initiatives as assignedWork on a variety of vehicle tasks for extended periods of timeInspect customer returns to ensure each vehicle meets Carvanas quality standards and will guarantee customer satisfactionConcisely and collaboratively communicate with the Post Production team if additional work on a vehicle is neededMaintain a clean and productive work environment by keeping tools and supplies organized throughout the Post Production departmentReport any safety issues or accidents to management immediatelyOther duties as assignedWorking hours are Monday Thursday 3:30pm to 2:15am.Hours of operation are subject to change based on business needs.

You may also be required to work overtime to support those business needs and will be given as much advance notice as possible.What you should haveThis position requires at least 1-year of Automotive Technician experience and requires someone who has a moderate level understanding of vehicle repair while having an interest in continuing their career as an Automotive Technician.

Requirements include:Minimum 1-year of Automotive Technician experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenanceA positive, can-do attitude with a desire to work in a team settingAbility to physically operate vehicle equipment and toolsA quality-first mentality that takes pride in upholding Carvanas vehicle quality standardsStrong, consistent attention to detailModerate understanding of vehicle mechanical repairAbility to multitask and prioritize effectivelyExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to read, understand, and follow procedures and guidelinesAbility to review, analyze, identify problems, and make decisionsAn ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)Strong communication skills to engage with all departments at the Inspection CenterIt would be great if you also hadASE CertificationsPrevious electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced ignition experiencePrevious experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road testsPrevious experience working in a high-end automotive facility or dealershipPrevious experience working in a lean-manufacturing environmentPrevious experience working for a fast-paced hyper growth companyThe Automotive Quality Technician team member will report to the Line Lead, Quality Control, Post Production and will be an hourly full-time position.
