Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTest raw materials, solution, and components for bioburden (total plate count and spore)Operate lab equipment such as laminar flow hoods, autoclave, incubators, and other equipmentClean, prep, and sterilize laboratory equipment and supplies as needed for testingReview samples received, logs samples, and enters data into computer database (LIMS)Responsible for general housekeeping of laboratory and test suitesSustain a clean and safe work environment utilizing 6S principles Required Education and ExperienceB.S.
degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related science0-2 years of experience; minimum 1 year experience in Pharmaceutical/Medical Device industry preferred Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesComputer literate/knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel)Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsMust have a basic understanding of laboratory instrumentationGood documentation skills and knowledge of GDPs (Good Documentation Practices)Able to manage multiple tasks/priorities in a timely mannerKnowledge of aseptic technique and microbiological testing according to FDA, cGMP, GLPs and USP testing methodologyFamiliarity with LIMS (or equivalent system) and TrackWiseServe as mentor to Quality Lab Technician (QLT) positionsMust be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peersMust be experienced in executing general microbiology procedures Other Duties as AssignedThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
