We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, and energetic Behavior Technicians to provide intensive 1:1 therapy to children diagnosed withautism as they gain higher levels of independence. This position involvesassisting in developing treatment plans, monitoring personalized programs, and collecting and trackingdocumentation.Changing someones life can also change your own. Other duties may be assigned.Ensure the health and safety needs of the person(s) served are met.Develop and maintain a positive relationship with individual(s) served and co-workers to promote and deliver successful outcomes for children with Autism.Creates positive learning environment for each child by using appropriate reinforcement schedules, behavior momentum, adequate pace of instruction and an appropriate ratio of mastered targets to new targets both in discrete trial and natural learning environment training.Responsible for collecting, tracking, and turning in accurate documentation in a timely manner, following departmental procedures.Attends and actively participates in team meetings by providing input during child specific meetings and ABA Specialist meetings in a collaborative manner.Join Our Team!Starting wage is $15/hour. The morning shift would begin at 8:00amand the last shift of the day will end around 7:00pm, with one shift in between. There are part-time and full-time opportunities available. Qualifications:Education and/or Experience: Four year college or university bachelor degree; 6 months of prior experience in ABA/Autism or ability to attain 40 hours of training in ABA programming or Autism experience upon hire; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before parents, children, leaders and employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to attain knowledge of Therap Database software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current drivers license in good standingPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this Job, the employeewill engage in bending, squatting, and kneeling quite frequently when working with small children.The employee may be working with children who may have extreme behavioral challenges including aggression or self-injury.
