We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude, including; getting along with co-workers; cooperating with co-workers; working as a team member; functioning under intense time pressure; and responding in a positive manner to supervision. Successful candidate will work with developers and property owners to stake both overhead and underground facilities for new and existing services and subdivisions. You will be responsible for preparing staking sheets for use by construction or service crews using the Futura Staking system (an ArcGIS/esri based product); executing right-of-way easements; preparing job estimates and other contracts as needed and assisting with staking new transmission lines and securing right-of-way easement as required. The successful candidate will be required to learn specifications for power line maintenance, construction and surveying techniques and be familiar with, or learn, procedures required for deed research at courthouse. This individual will also learn and apply Cooperative Policy as it relates to extension of service throughout the Cooperative territory. Requirements:
Successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal, listening, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills, coupled with an attention to detail, good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments. Experience/training with Computer Aided Design (CAD) will be considered. Position requires a minimum two-year associate of science degree in the engineering or related field. Position reports directly to the District Vice-President. Must live in the Burke-McDowell district or be willing to relocate.
