Description:This position serves as the day-to-day on-site tactical aircraft maintenance subject matter expert (SME) for Luke Air Force Base and as point of contact (POC) for on-site Lockheed Martin (LM) Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) Site Lead, LM AFS Chief of Maintenance, Luke Interim Contractor Support (ICS) Manager, the host squadron(s) government leadership teams for aircraft maintenance and logistics issues, and Government Quality Assurance Representative. Specifically, these duties include daily interaction with Aircraft Maintenance Unit (AMU) personnel in the execution of the daily flying schedule and as primary POC for focusing on and improving all aspects of F-35 readiness at Luke AFB. This position works directly with multiple company/LM lines of business, which include Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), Supply, Support equipment and other logistics enablers to ensure successful execution of the daily/monthly/annual flying hour programs. This position is directly responsible for health-of-the-fleet metrics for all Luke AFB assigned aircraft to include US Air Force and international aircraft and is responsible for ensuring all Luke fleet-wide logistics enablers are in place to meet flying-hour commitments. Also serves as Luke POC for Mission Capability initiatives. This position also works directly with AMU managers and enablers outside Luke AFB to ensure we meet Performance Based Logistics (PBL) aircraft availability, mission capability and mission effectiveness metrics and will be responsible to develop a business rhythm that keeps all stakeholders apprised of aircraft status and issues that impact readiness. Also serves as a technical SME to the LM Site Lead on aircraft maintenance topics. Position is responsive to operational and support concerns of the 56th Fighter Wing and Maintenance Group senior leadership to ensure timely support is provided by contractor support activities. Attends and represents LM at customer daily maintenance production meetings and represents Luke AFB at daily Availability Improvement/Site Manager Tag-up meetings. Monitors, reviews, and analyzes logistic indicators and ensures appropriate resources are focused on resolving unit technical and support issues in an expedient manner. Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance and maintain for the duration of the contract. Must be a US citizen. Basic Qualifications:
– At least 10 years fighter aircraft maintenance experience – Must have leadership experience in an aircraft maintenance environment – Experience with the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).
– Working level of knowledge 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft – Working level of knowledge of such programs as; Aircraft Scheduling/Records Management, Job/Maintenance Control, Configuration Control, Maintenance Information System, Tool and FOD, Training, Safety, Security, Hazardous Waste Management, and Supply Chain Management.
– Experience developing and presenting formal briefings and presentations. – Experience developing maintenance plans and procedures.
– Experience with USAF AFI 21-101
– Experience communicating and coordinating with Field Service Representatives, and Maintenance Logistics Managers on schedules, aircraft status and issues as they occur.
– Experience communicating with personnel at all levels throughout the USAF Wing structure to include Operations, Maintenance, and Logistics Support Managers.
– Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products
Desired Skills:
– Experience with LM business rules as they apply to PBL metrics. – Proven fighter aircraft maintenance management – Strong verbal and written skills
