and QualificationsCompetitive rates starting at $41-$49/per hour$10,000 sign-on bonusAir Products and Chemicals, Inc., a world-class manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate entry level opening for an Operations Technician at our Santa Clara, CA plant.The Santa Clara facility comprises of three air separation (ASU) plants supporting pipeline and merchant gas businesses.
Liquid oxygen, nitrogen and argon products are manufactured and delivered to a customer base in and around northern California.
Air Products Santa Clara is also a hydrogen distribution location supporting the hydrogen fueling stations of northern California.Responsibilities:Responsible for the continuous operation of three large air separation units, two purifier units, a nitrogen liquefier, a HES trans-fill, and a Generated Gas plant.Duties include:plant start up and shutdownsprocess optimization and troubleshootingcalibrating and operating high precision analyzersimplementing established quality standards including ISO, FDA, Food Safetyexecuting preventative maintenance programsassisting routine maintenance work on process equipmentcryogenic tanker loading and unloadingsupport and execute site policies and regulationsSuccessful candidate will be involved in the site safety program and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications:Applicants must have a HS diploma or equivalent.A 2-year technical or business degree is preferred, but not required.Applicants should have 2-years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environmentChemical processing or petrochemical environment is preferredCryogenic plant experience is a plusA strong commitment to safety, working as a team, and operational excellenceA self-starter with a strong work ethicAble to work a rotating shift scheduleMilitary candidates and veterans are encouraged to apply This position would be well suited for a Machinist Mate or Nuclear Trained individuals with specific focus on monitoring and maintaining propulsion systems, nuclear power or aircraft maintenance.Technical or vocational grads with a maintenance background or an AS degree, are also encouraged to apply.At Air Products, we work in an environment where diversity is essential, inclusion is our culture, and each person knows they belong and matter.
