OverviewPURPOSEThis position is for 1st or 2nd shift and directly reports to the various quarry supervisors.
All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member.
Primary responsibilities include assisting in maintenance & production functionsResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIESSafely perform maintenance activities to insure plant efficiency.
Prioritize Safety, then Quality, followed by Production.Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environment and areas.Ensures a safe work environment for self and others at all times.Understand and comply with Environmental Health & Safety policies to assure that environmental, health and safety are the first priority.
Actively support key safety initiatives at the facility and assist as needed to improve EHSEnsure all work areas are clean, tidy and organized at all timesTrains and coaches other employees when neededMust be willing to work through lunch breaks or take a lunch break at staggered times as required by customer demandsResponsible for maintaining the plant manufacturing equipment in a state of readiness.Complete work orders in a timely manner; installing, repairing and fabricating materials out of metal; ensuring availability and functioning of required items; and ensuring safety andresolving immediate safety concerns.Perform the appropriate plant equipment inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance for both fixed and mobile equipment.Operate plant equipment as necessary to meet the needs of production.Performs other duties as time permits or as assigned.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESRequired Education: High School diploma/GEDOther Training/Certifications Required: Maintenance experience preferredRequired Work Experience: 0-1 YearsTravel Requirements: Some travel throughout the immediate areaComputer and Software Skills: Basic computer skillsCompetency Profile (Eg.
