QA Technician Level 1 positions may include:* Milk Lab Technician* 30 Lab Finished Product Technician* QA Cartoner Auditor* Incoming TechnicianSUMMARY: Complete and maintain qualifying tests of ingredients, premixes, blends and finished products to ensure the quality and integrity of Sturm Foods, Inc.

products for our customersESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:➢ Test and qualify ingredients, premixes, blends and finished products such as:o Testing samples, familiarize self with taste/color, use salt meter for salt analysis, test for Ph, viscosity, density, moisture, absorption, fruit count, peroxidase, cloudiness, penetration, granulation, leakage, dissolvability, bostwick and enrichment, perform HACCP tests, perform food safety device checks (metal detector, magnet, screen and sifter overs), check graphics, labels, cartons, cases, UPC matches against production sheet, check seals, correct drop weights, check codes for proper characters, check codes against production sheet, check for scorched particles and drop test.➢ Document results➢ Identify quality issues and place product on holdo Enter into computero Tag hold product➢ Use and be familiar with weight charts, QA record sheets, PDM specifications, audit sheets, SSOP and wash reports, sequencing and HACCP.➢ Inspect bay and area washes and release for useo Follow through on wash inspections to include organic and allergen➢ Maintain retention samples for future reference when needed➢ May monitor temperature and humidity controls/issuenn nnSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
