The Role
We are currently seeking a VP/ Managing Director of Social Media and Online Brand Reputation for our growing team.
This role will be responsible for developing and executing content, media, amplification, and reputation-building strategies that bring OneMain’s brand to life, maximizing brand exposure and driving engagement.
A successful candidate will be a strong influential leader, whose innovative creative thinking will differentiate and build our brand through breakthrough content and storytelling.
They will bring a data-driven mindset to developing media strategies that optimize performance in awareness, brand reputation and engagement KPIs through social and digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy
Develop content strategy to create awareness and shape perception of the OMF brand with customers, shareholders and team members
Create distinct, compelling and relevant editorial approach across all channels that drive interest and engagement through customer storytelling, financial wellness, thought leadership, advocacy, community support and corporate social responsibility.
Partner with digital marketing team to enhance strategies to optimize national and local search rankings through content and review management.
Design and execute amplification strategy to maximize exposure in owned social channels, with influencer and community partners, industry partners, and through PR
Working with brand team, lead search and selection of creative agency partners to develop breakthrough, multi-media creative including concepts and execution/ production
Partner with HR, corporate comms, government relations and CSR to build corporate content strategy designed to engage team members, aid recruiting and retention efforts and establish corporate reputation with shareholders and industry
Social Media
Evolve strategy for paid media across social channels to effectively reach prospective OneMain customers and align approach across digital touchpoints
Analyze social trends and develop strategies/plans to reach the right audiences with the right content
Design creative, audience and channel testing strategies and assign/manage budget allocations across channels
Optimize performance across targeting, impressions, reach, engagement, website visits and applications; develop executive level reporting to track and communicate impact to the brand and business
Develop strategies to build followership and engagement across owned social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) and future expansion into new channels
Advance social listening tracking and reporting to provide insights that keep a pulse on customer sentiment, competitive landscape and the industry
Reputation Management
Lead strategy and roadmap for improving online reputation for the OneMain brand across customer and corporate digital and social channels (social, review sites, recruiting sites, website and mobile app)
Expand and optimize customer review solicitation to improve ratings
Evolve approach to response management to ensure quick response, positive customer outcomes and experience and reflection of brand
Improve corporate ratings and reputation to aid team member recruiting and retention
Explore partnerships with affiliates, review sites, PR and publications
Track and synthesize insights from customer sentiment, feedback and responses to uncover opportunities for improvements and areas of success
Qualifications
10+ years in brand or marketing, with extensive experience in content strategy and management of social media campaigns
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or related field preferred
Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
Experience managing social media and review site platforms
Strategic thinker who can understand business complexities and develop innovative
Experience managing creative and media agency partnerships
Effective communicator who is comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences and stakeholders at various levels.
Exceptional leader and team player with proven ability to lead through influence and work effectively both independently and collaboratively within fast-paced, diverse cross-functional teams.
Dynamic and adaptable project manager with a strong ability to establish processes and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals
