Sr Program Manager, Events and Content, AGC

Amazon Global Communities (AGC) is a fast-growing organization within Amazon, accelerating engagement, advocacy, and partnership between Amazon and critical third-parties in a variety of business areas.

We own programs across Amazon’s business, from the Ignite Community of Delivery Service Partners in our Last Mile network to the Climate Pledge, co-founded by Amazon and Global Optimism.

The Amazon Global Communities (AGC) team is seeking an experienced event content manager to help manage the strategy, development, and delivery of event content for the AGC global events team.

In this role, you will develop and deliver quality content for highly visible events for our third party communities.

You will work with cross functional teams in those businesses in the development of the content bill of materials for these events.

You will manage the processes involving the selection of session content, define goals and timelines, ensure quality control of content, and manage delivery of the content.

The ideal candidate is an extremely organized individual with experience managing highly visible projects with multiple global stakeholders, and has a demonstrated track record of taking complex and important topics and distilling them into must-attend content and event agendas.

You will be very comfortable working in an ambiguous environment, and lean on your exemplary program and project management skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to prioritize high priority tasks.

Role and responsibilities Oversee production and delivery of all event deliverables related to content development and delivery Work directly with content owners to identify deliverables and deadlines, communicate expectations, and ensure results Oversee event logistics related to sessions, including session room allocation and agenda management, and define requirements for room set-up, AV, and video Oversee speaker management, including organizing speaker training, scheduling reviews and rehearsals, managing all speaker communications, and providing on-site speaker support Build and distribute regular reports on event deliverables and status updates Build speaker and content database and streamline the process for managing speaker requests/placements Analyze content and speaker performance and develop ongoing content programming strategy based on trending topics and customer needs Develop regular cadence of senior leadership reviews and reporting, and own the post-event evaluation summary Basic Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in communications, PR, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

10 years’ executive or external communications experience Familiarity and expertise with content creation tools, including blogs, wiki, video, and graphic design Program and/or project management experience Amazon is an Equal Opportunity Employer
