The product lead acts as primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team.
The lead must understand marketing and communications needs and how to translate them into digital solutions that meet Carilion’s goals and help patients use our services.
The lead will understand Carilion’s vision and help maintain a product road map to achieve it and prioritize requests to accomplish short-term goals.
Responsibilities include: Maintain expert knowledge of Carilion’s websites and other digital products.
Influence product roadmaps to help meet Carilion’s vision.
Serve as a resource to internal product end users and communicate critical changes.
Lead patient and employee journey mapping.
Incorporate feature requests into product roadmap and backlog.
Groom and prioritize the product backlog.
Develop user stories and define achievable acceptance criteria.
Set development goals and plan feature release milestones.
Interpret functional requirements and requests of end users.
Experience working in an Agile environment and with Drupal preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or 8 years equivalent experience required.
Experience: Five years of related experience with at least three years in specialized area required.
Maintains a broad knowledge of all marketing and communications areas and activities, while specializing with advanced knowledge in one or two specific functions.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills.
Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities.
