It will be a part time remote position under the representation of the Baton Rouge office.ResponsibilitiesThe Marketing Communications Intern will perform duties including, but not limited to: Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s mission, values and philosophiesCreate content for, manage and monitor social network pages for NYAP’s regional Facebook page, recruiting foster parents and educating communities on NYAP’s programs and servicesDesign visual graphics to accompany posts via Canva and/or Adobe Suite Support the Marketing Communications Manager with PR strategy, ideation, brainstorming and executionCollaborate in creating communications strategies to promote our programs and servicesSuggest new ways to attract and engage the community for partnerships, outreach and moreStay up-to-date with industry trends and changes to ensure optimal effectiveness Maintain an appropriate, consistent brand image and language Minimum Qualifications Enrollment in an accredited educational program with specific qualifications based upon internship detailsExperience with social media on a business level preferred Ability to strategically think to create, carry out, and evaluate social media campaignsKnowledge in Adobe, Canva, Hootsuite preferred Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programsOther SkillsExcellent customer service and communication skills Sensitivity to cultural diversity Excellent oral and written communication skills Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills If this describes YOU, please apply today!www.nyap.org/employmentCOVID-19 Considerations: We are safely and successfully working out in the community and in-home settings.The person in this position needs to follow a team concept and support both agency goals and co-workers.
