Walraven, a leader in the installation manufacturing industry is seeking a Marketing Specialist for our start-up facility in Danville, VA. Reporting to the National Sales Manager (USA), The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing the local marketing strategy in line with the Walraven Group and local Walraven business objectives for Walraven US. The Marketing Specialist will also support the Canadian Walraven organization on activities and projects with common needs and requirements.
Core Objective:
To create and execute a marketing strategy of Walraven USA in a manner that will support the optimization of market share and profitability, and that will help to achieve Walraven’s missions, goals, and targets in the American region.
What you will do:
Provide marketing strategy and objectives
- The Marketing specialist has to plan and develop, in close cooperation with Group Marketing and National Sales Management, the annual marketing strategy and campaign plans in line with the Walraven Marketing planning.
- Develop and implement specific national and regional marketing plans that support the sales department to achieve and exceed sales and turnover goals.
- Ensure comprehensive links to all departments and the management team, assist on delivering strategic business goals.
Marketing & brand management
- To execute the marketing strategy successfully, the Marketing specialist develops and manages all marketing activities and ensures this is in line with the Walraven brand policy.
- He/She is responsible for the correct positioning of products and services based on market knowledge and consumer perceptions.
- Copywriting, proofing, and editing of Marketing Material.
- He/she organizes external events/trade shows schedule.
- To provide measurability of marketing activities to find the balance in budget allocation.
- To develop and manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers as required.
- Work together with Marketing EU Communications team to ensure the Walraven brand is used correctly across all marketing activities.
- He/She should motivate the various departments and management. For example, when new concepts are presented.
Utilize online and offline tools and channels
- The Marketing specialist has to work with colleagues across the Walraven Group to support the development, execution, and analysis of marketing campaigns using online and offline tools and channels.
- Create high quality, effective, and compelling website content and use content management tools to keep the website fully up to date, ensuring content is optimized for SEO.
- Generate email and direct marketing campaigns using MS Dynamics CRM and mailing system to manage segmentation and monitor effectiveness.
- Develop, manage, and deliver a local Social Media plan.
- Ensure the campaigns align to the brand and are delivered on time and budget.
- Ensures that all digital marketing activities follow the Walraven strategy, are up to date, continuously further developed and user-friendly. The digital activities are planned in the Industrial Marcom year plan.
- Is accountable for the Walraven website, social media channels and other online marketing activities.
- Build digital marketing competences, and guides the organization in the transition to digital marketing excellence (digital campaigning, social media usage, etc).
- Develops training, marketing, and presentation programs.
DTP (Desktop publishing)
- The Marketing Specialist manages the DTP and service activities, ensuring a strong connection to the various European markets.
- Drives an efficient and high-quality development of various marketing collateral, all in-line with the Corporate Identity and the Marcom year plan. All activities are done in strong cooperation with selling entities and product management.
- Develops and executes a marketing services portfolio in close cooperation with selling entities. The IMC Specialists improves the efficiency of these services by using digital tools as much as possible.
- Ensures strong people management to improve employee satisfaction and to reach optimal efficiency of these resources.
Sales execution
- The Marketing specialist pro-actively provides the sales team with relevant market information and pro-actively asks for relevant customer or market information.
- Actively supports the Regional and Territory Sales Managers with an acquisition plan.
QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment)
- Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations.
What you have (Skills and Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar marketing position, preferably in a B2B environment
- Experience in print and supplier/agency management
- Advanced skills with digital marketing (search, social, email etc.) and analytical tools
- Experience with setting up marketing campaigns and KPI’s
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of technical product data
- Clear communication skills, and advanced editing and writing experience
- Basic skills with Adobe software package (InDesign and Photoshop)
- Good software skills (MS Office, CRM, ERP)
- Team-player, persistent, and energetic
- The job requires regular travel in the assigned area and occasionally abroad
