We are looking for a Local Marketing Associate Intern to be part of our team who has a passion and desire to help local businesses.

We need team members that are versatile, collaborative, motivated, and committed to impacting local businesses and people in local jobs lives.

As part of our small disruptive team, you will be very hands-on in every aspect of marketing, product, customer service, and cultivating relationships with our users and businesses.

Summary of the Local Marketing Associate opportunity:

– Identify, build, and maintain strong relationships with local businesses (“Main Street”) and users in the marketplace

– Act as a brand ambassador for promotional events and activities to create awareness

– Assist local businesses with the onboarding process for the NearNow application

– Provide training, customer service, and support to local businesses to maximize their success using our software

– Gather feedback and collaborate with the product and engineering teams to prioritize future improvements

– Guide users through excellent experiences with local businesses

– Produce promotional videos with the team to post on the NearNow application

– Collaborate on copy write and content writing to push to users and businesses

Requirements:

– Very comfortable in a fast-paced, goal-driven startup environment

– Strong decision making skills, customer-focused relationship skills, and sound judgment

– Excellent communication skills and high emotional intelligence when working with others

– Agile and adaptable in responding to challenges that arise in a startup environment

– Driven and willing to make personal sacrifices to achieve team goals

– Confident, self-motivated, well organized, and outstanding time management skills

– Outgoing personality, team player, community-driven, and sense of humor

– Strong desire to help local businesses and build community with people in local jobs

– Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, CRM Platforms would be a plus

– Video production and photography experience preferred
