MARKETING COORDINATOR
The mission of the Maryland Hospital Association (MHA) is to serve Maryland’s hospitals and health systems through collective action to shape policies, practices, financing, and performance to advance health care and the health of all Marylanders.
MHA advocates for members and their constituents—caregivers, patients, and communities—before state legislative and regulatory bodies.
MHA also aids member organizations in their shared efforts—both within the field and in concert with other stakeholders in the private and public sectors—to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of health care services.
MHA is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Elkridge, Maryland.
Reporting to the Director, Communication, this person will serve as a vital member of MHA’s team.
As a Marketing Coordinator with MHA, you will:
With direction from Director, Communication manage MHA’s online marketing efforts;
Create strategic, proactive digital communications to elevate the MHA brand, initiatives, and positions;
Develop and publish relevant, original, and high-quality content;
Website
Revise the website architecture for mhaonline.org to better meet key stakeholder needs;
Regularly review and update mhaonline.org and ensure the content is current;
Collaborate with internal teams to create relevant content and landing pages, and optimize user experience;
Ensure proper tagging, search engine positioning (SEP), and search engine marketing (SEM);
CRM
Manage member database;
Use insights to improve member satisfaction;
Update member contact information; clean up e-mail lists; ensure member data is accurate;
Create and revise member lists;
Create and run reports and lists, as needed;
E-Marketing
Compile, send and measure a daily member e-newsletter consisting of state and national news articles of interest;
Support production of weekly member e-newsletter and other email campaigns as needed
Social Media
Create visuals, videos, and other content for social media channels under direction of Director, Communication;
Monitor and respond to social media comments.
Engage in relevant conversations, member content, and field events and activities;
Analytics
Create and measure performance of digital vehicles and marking campaigns and assess against goals;
Identify trends and insights and optimize performance-based learnings;
Design
Create infographics, flyers, and brochures and improve PowerPoint design;
Support Director, Communication with visual brand guidelines, digital tools and templates for MHA and its affiliates.
Qualifications
Three to six years (combination of education and work experience) in digital marketing, communications, or a closely related field.
Health care industry experience preferred.
Expert at creating web pages and sites using Sitefinity or similar web development platform
Experience using SalesForce or similar Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Strong design skills
Solid knowledge of website analytic tools
Up to date on the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
