The market analyst is responsible for studying market conditions to assess the potential sales of products and services.
The successful market analyst will be able to analyze qualitative data, voice of customer feedback, trends, strategies, and competition aiming at increasing competitiveness.
Responsibilities
Provides actionable overall market and customer analytics to address key strategic questions
Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports
Conduct consumer research (online/phone surveys, focus groups, etc.)
Collect market information through a variety of sources
Conduct competition research
Utilize predictive statistical models
Extrapolate market trends and patterns from data analysis and suggest opportunities for improvement
Consult with department heads and present marketing plans to the organization
Deliver regular reports on your findings and suggested actions
Analyzes external and internal customer data using database queries.
spreadsheet models, web analytics tools, statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools.
Evaluates online behavior and provide insights and recommendations for further enhancements to the guest experience
Creates PowerPoint presentations to provide market and consumer insights to other marketing and sales departments.
Advises business leaders and other team members as the subject matter expert for customer and market data.
Qualifications
Experience in conducting effective research, complex data analytics, and creating compelling data visualization and charts
Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
Motivated self-starter with a high degree of business acumen
Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient using Microsoft Suite (Excel)
Experience using statistical analysis software and database communicators
Advanced knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and analytical processes
Must be a confident team player who enjoys collaboration
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline required
Graduate degree preferred
3-5 years of work experience in marketing research, statistical or data analysis
Experience in advanced analytic, digital revenue attribution, customer segmentation, and marketing effectiveness
