In addition, the extraordinary communication, alignment, and support between all of these Team Leads is solidified through reporting together into the Vice President of Brand Development.Considering our unique structure, the right person to take on this Brand Marketing leadership role, will feel both empowered by the chance to drive global brand growth yet impassioned by the opportunity to learn from the experiences of their partners.A team like no other.Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe AVP Brand Marketing is responsible for supporting the long-term development of Pulp Riot in a worldwide scope.
This role will be integral in providing the team with an understanding of the international along with their creative counterpart the AVP Brand Marketing is instrumental in strategic direction for US & International needs, brand priorities, and consumer trends, as guided by the VP of Brand Development, to secure brand growth while managing resources.
This includes, but is not limited to, contributing to the development of an innovating and globally relevant panier, managing project briefs, interacting with the countries, supporting communication with labs, and ensuring timely progress of the development process through first production runs.They are responsible for communication of the panier to the zones/countries (inclusive of products, education, digital, and communication elements).
They manage processes for the globalization of advertising, assets, packaging, graphics, and formulation.
And they have joint accountability to develop brand advocacy and community engagement.This role has 1 direct report and works cross functionally with the other brand teams as well as both sales and supply chain teams to maintain the unified culture and work environment.This role:Reports directly into the Vice President Brand DevelopmentIdentifies consumer, salon, and technological trends globallyHas strong synergy and positive relationship with the other internal teams and the international countriesHelps generate ideas and concepts for products which are innovative and revolutionary to the professional salon industryCollaborates with Education, R& I, Corporate, Countries and Zones in refining new ideas and conceptsOversees the overall new product strategy inclusive of pricing and positioning, and partner with internal teams on new product formulation, packaging, advertising and merchandisingProvides expertise on repositioning existing brands to stimulate consumer demandConducts extensive market research, focus groups and manages survey administrationPerforms and uses competitive analysis to inform decisionsProvides context for team to work within – including the history, values, trends and future objectives of the division within the market Job RequirementsCollege degree (BFA, BA, or similar) in visual arts or other creative fields requiredExperience in hair color, hair care and/or hair styling marketing preferredExceptional knowledge of professional beauty industry along with products and content that performs best is important.
This includes understanding of metrics and performance measures for all distribution channels.Minimum 7 10 years progressively responsible experience successfully guiding strategic marketing, branding, and product management within consumer goods businesses.Exceptional financial acumen required including experience with budgeting and P& L management.Proven leadership skills including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members.Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships across functional areas of the business enabling the successful achievement of initiatives across all brand categories.Superior leadership and communication skills.
Need to be able to articulate clear business direction and strategies.
Also, to liaise between different departments, participate in senior level management discussions and facilitate the creative process at all levels.Proven experience in creating a consistent and comprehensive brand presence across multiple channels preferred.Exceptional attention to detail requiredProject management and planning skills requiredAbility to make quick decisions, problem solve and multi-taskExcellent written/oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills required to effectively manage relationships with diverse international internal and external contactsStrong execution, leadership and consensus building/decision making skills.Computer literacy on Windows, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Ability to travel domestically or internationally periodically (max.
25%).Language skills a plus.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesCommunicate overall brand strategy to key stakeholders (internal and external) and in collaboration with the teams, work to develop effective strategies to achieve annual budget and to influence innovation in all brand programs.
Contribute to the development and ensure execution of strategic marketing plans and timelines to build profitability and grow market share.
In collaboration with Supply Chain manage all NPD projects and correlated timelines and communication to all stakeholders.
Responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business across categories and in the development, monitoring, reconciliation and senior management review of the departmental budget.
Develop international panier through collaborative effort with brand leaders and artists to drive sales and maintain effective brand image and innovation.
Represent categories for cross-functional strategic and update meetings to include new product development, print and package, brand updates and presentations.
