US-NY-MelvilleCanon U.S.A., Inc.Requisition ID: 25764Category: MarketingPosition Type: Full-TimeOverviewCanon’s new Hybrid Workplace Solutions Group is seeking an expert Industry Marketing Specialist to be the channel marketing team lead responsible for bringing our product portfolio to market through B2B channels, by engaging with, educating, incentivizing and empowering channel dealers and resellers, as well as end users, to help Canon acquire customers and support sales in bringing them through the sales cycle.The Industry Marketing Specialist will play a key role in the group’s evolution from B2C/transactional into B2B/contractual selling.The right candidate for this role will have a proven track record of marketing through B2B channels such as dealers, distributors, VARs, managed IT service providers, or similar, and will have a strategic and creative mindset that is constantly identifying opportunities for growth.This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days).
Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.ResponsibilitiesLead responsibility for bringing new and current products, services and solutions to market through our B2B-oriented distribution channels.Support the creation of an end-to-end marketing process to bring B2B customers into and down the marketing funnel, through a combination of “online” (digital/e-Commerce) and “offline” (company sales and technical resource teams).Create and/or curate thought leadership content that demonstrates how Canon can aid businesses in overcoming key challenges and capitalizing on new opportunities that have resulted from an external market shift from in-office to hybrid (combination of in-office, work from home, and more).Maximize value for our channel partners by supporting the creation and promotion of effective programs and financial incentives, facilitating sales enablement and provides a rich toolset to support their sales process and customer acquisition, conversion and business expansion efforts.
– Bring to market Canon “print-as-a-service” offering, to help channel partners differentiate and maximize profitability, through collaboration with business planning team.Lead our efforts to bring relatively “new” (for Canon) product categories such as label and ID card printers to market, through effective customer acqusition strategies.
Identify opportunities to differentiate and bring value despite our late market entry.Create marketing tools that are designed to aid sales in locating and winning over customers in key vertical markets such as healthcare, education, government and retail.Experience with CRM platforms a plus.Experience with selling hardware products “as a service” a big plus.QualificationsPLEASE NOTE: As a federal government contractor, we comply with all applicable federal laws, regulations, orders and mandates.
