You’re self-motivated and can easily adapt to the pace of one of the hottest startups in cybersecurity!As a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer, you will be responsible for driving sales enablement for new offerings, working with our Go To Market partners to educate and excite them about how our products work together, and provide deep expertise to back up ongoing customer engagements in the field.
You’ll create the best solution briefs, customer presentations, deployment guides and competitive materials in the industry.As part of a technically heavyweight product management team, you’ll be the go-to expert and advisor for our strategy in enabling our front line, customer-facing colleagues and channel.
However, unlike some “pure marketing” roles, you’ll support your team’s charter to listen to the signals from the market and provide actionable, specific and timely feedback regarding how to evolve our offerings to adapt to customer requirements and competitive pressures.
You’ll understand and help drive our product strategy, feature depth and comparison, and based on your direct customer engagement, purchase criteria and shifting market trends.RequirementsOwn and drive technical sales enablement collateral in various forms: short video, podcast, data sheets, solution briefs, customer briefings, battle cards, competitive comparisonsWork with customers to assess how our offerings are appealing to them and what assets are effective for them, and what gaps exist.Partner with sales engineering, sales leadership, channel partners externally to articulate the Fortanix value proposition and our unique competitive differentiationAs a go-to expert, participate in customer, analyst or other inquiries regarding Fortanix current and roadmap itemsDraw competitive intelligence assessments and advise leadership across revenue, product and marketing with recommendations and insightsSynthesize insights from user research, customer meetings, usage data, and sales feedback to prioritize improvements and new feature ideas.Qualifications4-6 years of technical marketing or outbound product management experienceExperience with cloud-native application patterns, cyber security, or DevOps technologies is highly desirablePresentation experience a plus, in various formats such as podcast, executive briefings, RFI defense and industry events.Experience defining, building, and delivering SaaS products on public clouds – AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Familiarity with line of business clouds such as SFSC, NOW, etc.
