Direct Marketing Specialist

Capitol Federal

This is a Full-time position in Topeka, KS posted September 28, 2021.

Role Responsible for the development, coordination and implementation of direct marketing initiatives for the Bank, including but not limited to, email, print mailers, mobile messaging, customer onboarding programs, surveys and personalized marketing promotions.

Additionally, this role will assist with direct digital marketing campaigns and SEO strategy.

A successful candidate will understand target markets, and how to communicate to them through direct marketing channels.

They will have a strong attention to detail, good copywriting skills and a willingness to work closely with all creative, digital and marketing operations staff on multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with CRMs, email campaign tools and digital marketing platforms is required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Build, deliver and analyze direct marketing initiatives (email, print mailers, mobile messaging, etc.), including onboarding programs, surveys and personalized marketing promotions through analysis of target markets, copy, concept and production.* Leverage a variety of data sources, internal and external, to make recommendations around direct marketing tactics to drive results.

Monitor competitive activity in the direct marketing space to stay current on industry trends.* Assist with direct digital marketing through Google Ads, Microsoft Bing Ads, and Customer Relationship Manager platforms* Explore and experiment with new and alternative ways to leverage direct marketing activities (R&D).* Assist in the planning, execution and evaluation of the Bank’s SEO strategy with a focus on website conversions.* Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.* Perform other duties as assigned.* Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.* Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations, and bank policies and procedures.

Requirements * Minimum three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.* Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4 year college or university with an emphasis on Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications or related degree of specialty.* Ability to exercise aesthetic judgment and help others to understand the creative process required for excellent work.

Thorough understanding of graphic design tools, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator and a working knowledge of other design tools common to interactive and Internet design.

Proven ability to develop design solutions across all media, including interactive media, in response to marketing and communication challenges.* Excellent communicator with strong project management skills.* A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position.

In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience.

Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
