We are currently looking for Advertising Sales Executive to expand our team in the San Diego and Los Angeles areas. This position is responsible for generating new business for our Airport Advertising Network.We enjoy a solid rate of return of existing accounts and generate good business coming through the traditional sales process working with the OOH media buyers. The candidate’s challenge is to push the growth beyond traditional sales channels. We have noticed that many companies are not fully aware of the airport advertising media benefits or have not considered our media to the fullest extent in their media plans. We need to pitch more often to more accounts. The decision process and planning cycles can be at times lengthy and will require smart follow through over the course of multiple months with several decision makers at the client, planner, and buyer levels.We expect our team to take ownership of, and pride in, its roles. Sharing ideas, finding solutions, and working in a respectful workplace are hallmarks of day-to-day life at JCP.RequirementsThe ideal candidate:• Is a seasoned sales professional (Out-of-home sales experience desired)• Must enjoy doing strategic follow up and closing deals.• Must be curious, enthusiastic, and have the ability to identify/seek new viable accounts in the territory.• Knows how to engage and develop a relationship at every level.• Has the ability to articulate marketing concepts and put together out of the box proposals to help existing clients and prospects achieve their communication goals.• Likes to stay up to date with current economic news.• Is tech savvy.• Possesses a positive attitude toward business developm• Has strong verbal and written communication• Has a network of contacts that would allow selling $50,000 or more.Please submit your resume and a cover letter with answers to the following questions:• What do you know about airport advertising and the Out-Of-Home industry?• What is your favorite aspect of the advertising media business, and why?• What past sales experience do you have that you think will contribute to the overall company growth?• Explain what your sales strengths are.Because we strive to attract and retain our intellectual capital, we aim to reward people who demonstrate a positive outlook and a passion for hard work.We will offer a base salary for four months plus commission to qualified sales representativeExperience:• Sales (Out-of-home): 1 year (Required)
