Tool Room Set-Up Technician

Nesco Resource is looking for a Press Break Set-Up Technician in Danbury, CT.

This is a temp to perm position for the right candidate.

Schedule is as follows: Monday
– Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

This is a full time position and pays $16.00
– $17.00/hour depending on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities: Sets up machines according to assigned job using hand tools such as wrenches, socket sets and Allen wrenches.

Complies with company policies and procedures, including all safety procedures, policies and regulations.

Cleans work area prior to start-up of each job.

Cleans and lubricates machines.

Reads and records job production information.

Familiar with micrometer usage, TMM and dial indicators.

Reads and follows blueprints to meet specifications, customer requirements.

Follows procedures and information on routing sheet for each specific job.

Pull and load die-sets to and from press, according to specifications.

Strip, clean die-sets and recognize special hardware.

Prepare specific powder mix for the job and add to the hopper.

Assures material meets correct specifications of each job as stated on routing sheet.

Setup flat and pullout tools into die-set and press utilizing Dorst and ASI setup procedures.

Notifies management as problems occur during job process.

Completion of setup paperwork, including a density calculation.

Inspects first pieces for quality assurance.

Make size/weight adjustments to jobs in presses that are running.

Complete all other duties as assigned.

Ability to push/slide die sets weighing up to 150 pounds.

Some bending and over the head reaching is required.

High School Diploma or Equivalent Prior set-up experience a plus Must be reliable and responsible.

Must be able to work well within a team environment when necessary.
